
John Luff
John Luff is a retired television technology consultant. He is a Life Fellow of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, and in 2010 received the Engineer of the Year Award from the Society of Broadcast Engineers. He was the founder and CEO of Synergistic Technologies, and remained with AZCAR after STI was acquired in 2000. His clients included Turner Entertainment, ABC, The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Panasonic, the European Broadcasting Union (Eurovision), CBS, and CNN. He is a noted author and lecturer, and for over 10 years wrote a monthly hhhcolumn for Broadcast Engineering magazine (Technology in Transition). Luff graduated from the Honors College of Ohio University in 1969.
