John Weinstein leads the Government Affairs division of Pennsylvania’s second largest bank, First National Bank (FNB). Creating an entirely new division of the bank and overseeing the operations in seven states and the District of Columbia. FNB is the only corporation building a new office tower (100% union) in the City of Pittsburgh (post COVID) signalizing its stringent commitment to our region.  FNB is a $50 Billion bank with more than 5000 employees and is chartered for significant growth over the next decade.

John was the Elected County Treasurer of Allegheny County between 2000-2024 after being independently elected in six consecutive terms. The independently elected Treasurer is the Chief Fiscal Investment Officer of the county and operates the bank of the county; responsible for the management of all operating and capital budget funds which total more than $3.0 Billion annually. He previously held multiple positions in the Office of the County Treasurer between1991-2000.

John is a lifelong resident of Kennedy Township, graduate of Robert Morris University and Montour High School. He and his wife Shane are the very proud parents of twins – Mella & Jack.

John has served on more than 20 board of directors, civic and member organizations. He has been a long supporter of the Pittsburgh Film Office and is excited to be nominated for the Board of Trustees.
