
Phil Orend
Since 2006, Phil has held various roles within the energy industry, starting in local sales and progressing to lead the North American marketing team for Kinect Energy then a subsidiary of World Fuel a Fortune 100 company. Currently, Phil manages Third-Party Channel Development for World Kinect, where he focusses on maintaining and enhancing relationships with chambers, associations, and affinity partners along with building out with associations nationwide. Phil’s primary goal is to optimize growth to support World Kinect’s global portfolio objectives.
In addition to his work in the energy sector, he has extensive experience with educational non-profit organizations. Phil served 10 years on the Hopewell Area School Board and was President of the school board for 4 years. Phil currently serves as a Trustee on the Board at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School in Midland PA. Phil has been on the Lincoln Park for 18 years and now serving his 3rd time as president of the board. At present he is leading the board into a $30 million dollar building expansion including an event center and an arts and science building that will include world class dance studios. Phil has been instrumental in all sectors of this construction from bringing in the architects, the general contractor and working with the finance aspect for bonds to pay for the expansion.
On the personal side, Phil has two sons, Lucas who lives in Polish Hill, and youngest Conor who lives in Aliquippa. Despite being a widow of 12 years, they all remain close. He is an avid fan of Formula 1 racing, Bob Dylan, John Prine and the movies of the Coen Brothers. Phil enjoys the local music scene. He has recently developed a fondness for European soccer thanks to his son Conor, who has turned him into a proper supporter of Manchester City. While being well travelled Pittsburgh has always been home. He is thrilled and humbled to now be serving his community by happily accepting a position on the board at the Pittsburgh Film Office, just don’t ask him to remember the names of actors.
